Stephen Bankes

Stephen Bankes is a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney, and has a degree in Chemistry from Oxford University. He entered the profession in 1972, and joined Baron & Warren in 1984. He has wide patent experience in chemical and mechanical subject matters and since joining us has handled an increasing number of applications in the medical and biochemical fields. He has considerable experience in the handling of designs and regularly represents clients at opposition and appeal hearings before the European Patent Office, as well as before the UK Intellectual Property Office and the Patents County Court. Stephen is accredited to practise before the European Registered Design Office. He is a member of FICPI. Stephen has now retired as a partner but continues to be fully involved as a consultant.
