Edward Johnstone is a UK Chartered Patent Attorney and European Patent Attorney

Edward is experienced in preparing patent specifications and prosecuting patent applications to grant before the UKIPO and EPO.  He also has experience of managing international patent portfolios, and providing advice in connection with oppositions and infringements.  He has enjoyed working for individual inventors, small companies and large international corporations across a wide range of technology areas, including the automotive and aerospace sectors, oil and gas, wind power, consumer products and packaging.  Edward joined the patent profession in 2011 after completing a masters degree in mechanical engineering (MEng) at the University of Bath.  He qualified as a UK and European patent attorney in 2014, and joined BWR in 2021.
